Water Communion, A Ritual of Gratitude and Intention by Christine Palafox & Tanya Blacklight

Please join us Saturday, March 24th1-3 p.m.

Gather at the 2nd Rocky Beach entrance on the Left before the bridge at the Paonia River Park.

You are invited to the continued community celebration of International River Day!  We are gathering at the River Park for a time of Communion, Intention and Gratitude for Water and the Life she brings us.  In this community ritual we will participate in movement that connects us in relationship with the rocks, water and sky, create a community prayer cairn, paint with the mud from the river, create prayer boats out of natural found objects, speak our intentions out loud and in our hearts, and step into the water to launch our prayers into the flow of our sacred North Fork waters for the continued vitality, unity, and protection of the precious waters, our valley and the surrounding mesas and mountains that inspire and sustain us.
DETAILS:
• Wear white and/or blue clothing.
• Bring rubber boots, water shoes, walking sticks, local sage, dried flowers and herbs from your gardens and fields,
• Bring your Prayers and Intentions for the precious Rivers and Streams,
• Bring snacks to share in a community feast on the beach afterwards. Also, bring your eating utensils and a picnic blanket.

In partnership with Artists United For a Frack-Free World Group.
We will be filming this ritual as an installment of Elsewhere Studio’s Inspired: Art-at-Work project.
