Open Studio night for Elsewhere’s OCTOBER artists

Come join Elsewhere residents: Aaron Morgan Brown (Painter), Claire Perry (Writer) and Donna Cooper Hurt (Photographer) for their final show. Friday, October 27th 6PM-8PM. Discussions will begin at 6:30PM. Costumes encouraged.

Donna Cooper Hurt is our one-month fully-funded Experimental Photographer Resident. She was selected out of 35 applicants for this special 2017 opportunity. Donna's photography incorporates sculpture and performance with the body in motion. In her practice she addresses the intersection of place, memory, history and the body.

Claire Perry has written obits, book reviews, lifestyle pieces as well as worked in story development for Hollywood production companies. She’s been a dog groomer, an elementary school teacher, an amateur videographer & is a spouse & a mom. “I’m incredibly grateful to have the focused time at Elsewhere to finish revising my first novel”. – Claire Perry

Aaron Morgan Brown creates sensitively painted views of a parallel world, one that resembles a lucid dream state, or psychological construction zone. He uses figures, objects and environments are rooted in their everyday appearance, but the context in which they appear is invented, and their relationship to reality is fluid.
