Coyote School @ Elsewhere

A Cooperative Homeschool & Youth Learning Collective

The Coyote School begins as a cooperative homeschool club designed to support families seeking rich, creative, real-world education rooted in art, ecology, culture, and entrepreneurship.

This is not a drop-off program. It is a parent-supported, artist-led learning cooperative where children learn by doing, making, teaching, and collaborating.

Core Focus Areas:

  • Creative arts (visual art, writing, music, performance)

  • Ecological literacy & place-based learning

  • Storytelling, media, and cultural studies

  • Practical skills & creative problem-solving

  • Cooperative leadership and peer collaboration

The Coyote Club creates a bridge between artists in residence and local youth, allowing learning to flow naturally through mentorship, collaboration, and shared projects.

Structure:

  • Multi-age cohorts

  • Weekly or seasonal learning blocks

  • Led by resident artists, visiting educators, and skilled community members

  • Designed to complement home education, not replace it
