O'! Tomatoes —
You make me happy
From my head —
to - mah - toes.
I wondered if you
were one of those cats
who is human,
and then you taught me
something no human had:
when rejected
from the laps of
we cat-allergic
residents
you walked away purring,
complete within yourself.

Elsewhere was my very first residency. I loved my time there! Recommendations for the hours outside art: Observing Tomatoes, Wiesbaden Hot Springs in Ouray, watching the light change from "P" mountain at dawn, projecting movies on the studio wall.
